Raising Australia Pty Ltd has a fleet of 6 raise drills for the mechanised development of accurate vertical and sub vertical raises from 1.06m - 6m in diameter and to a length of 1,000m.
The machines Raising Australia operates are as follows:
- Robbins 61R x 2: Low profile raise drill machine capable of drilling conventional raise bores to a diameter of 2.4m and 150m in length. This machine fits into a 5m x 5m drive and runs off a 150amp 1000V Jumbo box.
- Robbins 34RH: This machine is capable of drilling both conventional raise drill holes and blind up holes up to 1.1m in diameter. In the conventional raise bore this machine is capable of drilling holes up to 150m at 1.5m in diameter. This machine comes with a diesel powered crawler for ease of transportation from drill site to drill site.
- Robbins 123RHC: This machine has the capability to drill holes up to 1,000m in length and to a diameter of 6m (depending on ground conditions). This machine is also a low profile machine and has an extended height of 5.7m compared to drills with the same capacity which require over 8m in height. The machine is also easily transported around the mine on a diesel powered crawler.
Each of Raising Australia's machines has its own IT to move all of the ancillary equipment between sites which allows self-sufficiency when rigging up and down. This results in minimal disruption to the day to day running of the mines operation.
