Positive Performance Measures

Byrnecut’s Positive Performance Measures System sets out the positive performance indicators utilised to determine individual Sites and Departments performance against the assigned measures. Each month Performance Measures data is collected, collated, recorded and communicated in the form of performance tracking graphs that can be displayed on notice boards or in handouts.
The Performance Measures System was established in order to:
  • Enable accurate management of our Safety / Environmental Management System
  • Add value to the paper and electronic work generated managing the System
  • Assign and track measures of the quantity and quality of safety or environmental management initiatives
  • Ensure timely and appropriate follow up on selected safety or environmental activities
  • Measure the effectiveness of internal safety or environmental standards
  • Provide a safety and environmental reporting system not dependent on incident or injury statistics
  • Provide an opportunity to proactively feedback performance statistics to all employees, contractors and clients
  • Ensure responsibilities and accountabilities for safety and environmental management are assigned
  • Provide an opportunity to recalibrate risk prevention initiatives
  • Assist in the development of safety or environmental action plans
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement; and
  • Document due diligence efforts and processes.
Some of the Positive Performance Measures tracked include (but are not limited to):
